Last week we shared with you a message about the situation at Sakurai-san's campaign's headquarters. Things have been looking up since then (Sakurai-san is no longer gobbling down cheesecake after cheesecake, something his stylist appreciates very much), especially after the poll's results came in this morning (thanks to everyone who took the time to read and vote!)
Sakurai-san sent us this picture after we informed him about the numbers:
We believe it's safe to say that he's very excited about the news. That or someone was grabbing his butt, we do not know. In any case, just this announcement got him in an splendid mood. He's even rehearsing his speech again!
So, without further ado...
It is the first time for our team to organize an event of this type! We hope that by doing this, we can give Sakurai-san the encouragement he needs to continue focusing both on his work as an Arashi member and on hisworld domination political ambitions.
On our last brainstorming session, we discussed some points which we want to recapitulate here:
- Due to limited time, the exchange's schedule has been arranged like this:
Sign-ups: December 9th, 2016 - December 15th, 2016
Assignments sent by: December 18th, 2016
Deadline: February 7th, 2017. (For those requiring a beta-reader, the deadline is on January 31st, 2017)
Posting starts on: February 14th, 2017
Reveals: A week after the last fic has been posted.
As you can see, posting won't start on Sakurai-san's birthday. He did give us his approval to move it to Valentine's Day (he was a bit reluctant and embarrassed at first though). We understand that everyone is not on the same time zone, therefore we will be following GMT time for this exchange.
- We have decided that all fics must have a minimum of 2000 words. After some discussions, our staff members decided that a word limit won't be necessary.
- There will still be an activity on January 25th to celebrate Sakurai-san's birthday. Details will be discussed later.
- We have a post dedicated exclusively to the exchange's rules, which you can read HERE. For your convenience, we will sum them up below (although we recommend that you check that post to avoid inconveniences):
1. Fics must be Sho-centric.
2. Each participant must include at least two ROMANTIC pairings that include Sho in the "want to read/write" sections of their application. This is MANDATORY.
3. Fics must be at least 2000 words long.
4. Write in good, readable English.
5. Fics must be beta-read before being submitted. (If you need a beta, let us know as soon as possible so that we can help you!)
6. Include all html tags when submitting the fic.
7. Do not break anonymity or post your fic elsewhere before reveals.
8. Please do your best to write what your recipient requested!
9. Follow the schedule, and contact us if you need an extension/to drop out (preferably at least a week before the deadline).
10. HAVE FUN!

Pairings you want to write:
Sakuraiba is my OTP, so I’m pretty confident about writing for them, but I can I can do any Sho/Arashi pairing. A ranking would be: 1. Sakuraiba 2. Yama 3. Sakumiya/Sakumoto.
Pairings you don’t want to write:
Sho/non-Arashi - I don’t know other groups or celebs that well, unfortunately
I prefer not to do moresomes
I would like to write (prompts/genres/kinks etc.):
Any genre/prompt (apart from those in my wouldn’t want to write list) is fine! I like a challenge!
I would not like to write (prompts/genres/kinks etc.):
As for kinks, if you ask for BDSM and stuff like that, I’m afraid I can’t comply.
A list of things I’m not comfortable with/I don’t like to write about is:

-terminal diseases

-seme/uke dynamics
-extreme violence

-yakuza

-junior/pre-debut era or underage characters in general (flashbacks are okay, but the main story should have 18+ characters)
-very dark themes or heavy kinks in general
Pairings you want in your fic:
Sakuraiba would really make me the happiest, especially if it’s a slightly angsty, but fluffy Sakuraiba. But if the author really reeeeally dislikes them or doesn’t feel like writing about them, I can go for any Sho/Arashi pairing. Ranking of ships I’d like to receive: 1. Sakuraiba 2. Sakumiya 3. Yama 4. Sakumoto
Threesomes are also good if credible (if it’s crack, it doesn’t have to be credible, of course). My top OT3 is Sho/Aiba/Jun, followed by Sho/Aiba/Nino, and then all the others.
As a side-note, I’m a huge Aiba fan, so, even if he’s not in the main paring, I would love it if you could consider making him appear.
If you need to pick another ship for a side-pairing/past lover thing, go with whatever you like! My favourite non-Sho pairings from Arashi are Junba, Aimya and Juntoshi, if you need to know, but I’m quite fine with any Arashi/het or Arashi/OC ship as long as they don’t take up too much of the fic and the main pairing is still in the spotlight.
Pairings you do not want:
Sho/non-Arashi.
What do you want to receive (situations/kinks/genres):
I love angst and romance, so if you want to make me happy, you can safely go with these two choices. I yearn for those fics that hold your heart in their claws and crush it bit by bit until you’re left on the floor crying (I’m such a DoM sometimes.)
But I’m also all for fluff (melt my heart with cuteness! <3), or sci-fi, or fantasy, or crack, or whatever. I like pretty much every genre, as long as the characters are not too OOC.
I have a soft spot for Sho and Jun as best friends, and for friendship in general.
A happy ending is preferred and very much appreciated, but not strictly required. Just go with your inspiration, I won’t stop you.
However, if you do need me to provide you with slightly more specific prompts/situations, I’ve made a list for you (but if you find that your inspiration brings you somewhere else, go with that!):
-fake dating/marriage & falling in love for real
-college AU
-mutual pining
-jealousy
-accidental kissing
-confession in the rain or something (god, I’m so cheesy)
-have to share a bed for whatever reason
-“It’s not that I like you, in fact I hate you, but I need a date for my ex’s wedding and you’re the only one I can ask and wow you sure can clean up nice”
-best friends falling in love (Bonus if one of the two friends falls for the other first and patiently waits for him to realise about it)
-in general, I’m a complete sucker for clichéd romantic tropes
-time travel
-PARALLELS!! SYMBOLISM!!
-fairytale/myth retelling
-(fantasy/sci-fi setting) at some point of your life, you get to know who your soulmate is, so of course Sho finds out his soulmate is X, who he absolutely despises. (Bonus points if Sho & X become friends and decide to fight destiny to end up with the people they really love even if they’re not their “designated soulmates”)

Please, please, please, respect this list m(_ _)m I really want to be able to read the fic and give you my opinion, but, especially when it comes to rape / incest / paedophilia / abuse, I really can’t read it. If it’s congenial to the plot, and it’s implied/not described, it might be okay. (But I’d really rather not. If you’re unsure, please ask through the mods.)
I’m fine with dub-con if it’s something along the lines of “we both got super drunk and woke up in the same bed with no recollection of last night and uhm you’re cute and I’ve always loved you and I swear I don’t say that to all my one night stands.”
If you decide to go R+: whatever pairing/s you choose, just... make them switch (or imply that they do switch)! No uke/seme dynamics. Please, no uke/seme dynamics. x.x
Also, I read too many fics were Aiba is like a child and a moron and it’s kinda disturbing if that’s all he is. Please make Aiba-chan a normal person who’s occasionally a ray of sunshine, but can also feel things like normal humans, and I will love you forever <3
Preferred rating (written and received):
Written: I can write any rating, but I’m slightly more comfortable in R than NC. If you choose PG, just... at least let me make them kiss? hold hands perhaps? think wistfully about the other? (My romantic soul needs it.)
Received: I’m also okay with any rating the author feels comfortable with (I only ask they at least show some kind of affection/skinship somehow, as per what I just said xD). If the author is willing, and the story calls for it, I’d rather an R-ish fic (or even higher, I have no qualms about that.) But it’s up to them/the flow of story of course.
Could you pinch-hit?: Afraid not :(
